What to Expect @ a Sugaring Appointment

Sugaring is our specialty—and your skin’s new best friend. At Silver Bloom Beauty, we use a gentle, all-natural sugar paste to remove hair while caring for your skin. Here’s how to prepare, what happens during your visit, and how to keep your glow going afterward.

  • Before Your Appointment

    Book your session online on our booking app

    Avoid exfoliating the area to be sugared for 2 days before and after your appointment.

    Skip tanning or sun exposure for 24 hours before and after.

    Let your hair grow to at least 1/8 inch (about the length of a grain of rice).

    Don’t trim—we will take care of everything.

  • Day of Your Appointment

    Arrive 5–10 minutes early with clean, dry skin—no lotions, oils, or deodorants.

    We provide cleansing wipes and amenities if you need a quick refresh.

    Breathe easy: our sugar paste is never hot and is safe for even the most sensitive skin.

    We’ll walk you through the process and make sure you’re comfortable every step of the way.

  • Aftercare

    Moisturize daily to keep skin soft and hair follicles supple.

    Use a gentle exfoliating glove every 2–3 days to prevent ingrown hairs.

    Avoid intense workouts, hot tubs, or saunas for 24 hours post-treatment.

    Rebook every 4–6 weeks for smoother, finer regrowth and less discomfort over time.

SUGARING FAQ’S

  • We think so! Unlike waxing, sugaring removes hair in the natural direction of growth, which reduces breakage and irritation. Plus, our paste doesn’t stick to live skin cells—just hair and dead skin—making it gentler and more effective.

  • Everyone’s pain tolerance is different, but most clients find sugaring a little less painful than waxing. However, any time you pull hair follicles out at the root, you should expect some pain. Regular appointments help refine hair and make each session easier.

  • Absolutely! Sugaring is safe during pregnancy, and our team is trained to make you comfortable at every stage.

  • To provide each client with a personalized and attentive session, we only accept appointments. We do take appointments the day of, if available, so click our booking link to see if we can fit you in.

FACIAL FAQ’S

  • Every 4–6 weeks is ideal to keep your skin healthy and radiant. We’ll customize a treatment plan based on your skin’s unique needs

  • We recommend going makeup-free for 24 hours to allow your skin to fully absorb the benefits of your facial.

  • Whether you’re concerned with acne, hyperpigmentation, aging, or hydration—we offer custom facials like our Radiant 4C and Lux Lift to target your concerns

  • Yes! We offer gentle and calming options, and can tailor your treatment for sensitivity, redness, or skin conditions like eczema.

LASH & FACIALS FAQ’S

  • Lash extensions typically last 2–3 weeks before needing a fill. Your natural lash cycle and aftercare routine will affect how long they stay full and fresh.

  • We recommend skipping mascara—especially waterproof types—as it can weaken the adhesive and cause premature lash loss.

  • Please arrive with clean, makeup-free eyes and avoid using oil-based products. Skipping caffeine beforehand helps you relax and enjoy your appointment

  • No—when applied correctly and cared for properly, lash extensions are safe. Avoid picking, pulling, or using oily products near your eyes.

Silver Bloom Policies

  • I have a 10-minute grace period if you are running late for your appointment. If you arrive after the grace period ends, I will have to reschedule you, and you will be charged a cancellation fee of 50% of the booked service.

  • No shows: The card on file will be charged 50% if you no show or don’t cancel your appointment 24-48 hours before your appointment

  • Upon Arrival: New clients will be asked to sign a waiver and consent form prior to receiving services.

  • After 5:00pm outside doors to the building are locked. If arriving after this time please text me upon arrival. If you need to use the restroom upon arrival the bathroom code is: 4213

  • During Appointment: No extra guests or children are permitted in the studio room. Please silence all devices and do not take calls/texts during our appointment.

  • New Clients Booking Fee: A nonrefundable booking fee of 50 % of your service is due at the time of booking your first visit. This will go toward your service and is only forfeited if you cancel less than 48 hours of your appointment or if you no show your appointment.

  • Online Booking: A valid card on file is required and is only charged due to policy violations.

  • I charge a 50% cancellation fee for any no-shows or cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment
